Highland Consults, LLC’s Founder and Senior Consultant, Lizan Highland, has over 10 years of experience in organization and operations development, through which she has collaborated with organizations in various industries in both the private and public sectors. Her commitment to equity as it pertains to race, economic sustainability, and social justice is demonstrated through the collaborative relationships that Highland Consults engages in. Throughout the course of her career, Lizan quickly acquired knowledge and skills that allowed her to move progressively into senior-level leadership roles at diverse organizations with wide-ranging missions and focus areas ranging from law firms, education, criminal justice reform, community engagement, and philanthropy. Over the past 5 years, Lizan has worked in Operations and Human Resources in criminal justice philanthropy, supporting the organization’s general operations and strategic planning; her work has allowed the organization to triple in size and budget
