Levels of Membership
The Nonprofit Center offers two levels of benefits and savings to meet your organization's goals for professional development, with fees based on your annual operating budget. Individuals not affiliated with a nonprofit can also take advantage of a special Membership program designed for them.
- Savings of up to 20% on all Nonprofit Center educational workshops and training programs so you can stretch your limited professional development dollars while offering your entire staff, board and volunteers valuable learning opportunities that will serve your organization
- Free 60-minute Insight consultation session with a Nonprofit Center expert on the subject of your choice, from communications to fund-raising, to human resources, to board development
- Initial grant-seeking advice to help you identify foundation prospects
- Priority referrals of qualified board candidates to your nonprofit through our BoardCorps™ program.
- Savings on publications, services and memberships useful to all nonprofits
- Free admission to our useful Grantmakers Panels where you can get up close and personal with the decision-makers at prominent foundations
- Priority discounts from select vendors who value the nonprofit client.
MemberPlus includes all the benefits of Basic Membership PLUS:
If your organization is considering a consulting project, such as strategic planning, a capital campaign, or leadership transition, your first step in that process should be becoming a MemberPlus of The Nonprofit Center.
If your board of directors could benefit from a specialized on-site training to enhance its performance and experience, your first step should be becoming a MemberPlus member of The Nonprofit Center.
Here's why...
- Free BoardCorps™ Best Practices session conducted on-site for your board of directors - a value that alone is worth more than the cost of your membership fee (with advanced programs offered in subsequent years)
- Savings on all consulting projects and on-site customized workshops
- Continued annual board development with free advanced training when you renew your MemberPlus membership, to build on your completed BoardCorps™: Best Practices session
- Upgraded Insight session (see above) with the option to include your board at your site.
- Free professional review of two grant proposals to increase their fundability
- Free review of two job ads for the nonprofitjobscoop website to attract the employees you are seeking.
Individual Membership for those interested in the nonprofit sector but not currently employed by a specific organization, includes:
- Savings on all Nonprofit Center workshops and BoardCorps Bootcamp™
- Connection to our broad network of nonprofit organizations throughout the region
- Free admission to Grantmakers Panels.
How Membership Pays for Itself
For a small nonprofit, the cost of your basic membership could be made up just by sending appropriate staff, board or volunteers to The Nonprofit Center's full-day Annual Strategies Forum.
You will cover the cost of MemberPlus just by taking advantage of our acclaimed BoardCorps™ Best Practices training that is included in your membership fee - a value of more than $1100.
In an era when "return on investment" is so critical, Membership in The Nonprofit Center is the definistion of the phrase. When an organization invests in professional development, it invests in its sustainability and its future.
