BoardCorps™: Bootcamp
A full-day immersion into the roles, responsibilities, liabilities, and rewards, Bootcamp is the definitive path to meaningful board membership. It is for the rare few who are truly serious about excellence in board service.

This acclaimed full-day session, ideal for:

  • individuals considering joining a board, including those wanting to be matched with a board of like mind.
  • current board members with less than two years' experience
  • longer-serving board members who want a formal reminder of best practices
  • civic-minded corporations that value community service by their employees

Bootcamp is offered several times a year as a public training, attended by individuals, many of whom are representing their employers. It can also be presented on-site as a customized training, as the consummate orientation at a nonprofit, or at a business, for select personnel being groomed for leadership roles.

BoardCorps™: Beyond Bootcamp: Board Officers and Committee Chairs
Beyond Bootcamp is an advanced step in board leadership development

This full-day experience is designed for currently serving board members who are in, or moving toward,  leadership roles on nonprofit boards as officers or committee chairs. Preparing you to make an even greater impact as a leader, Beyond Bootcamp delves into modern governance models to enhance committee structure, demonstrates how to design and run effective meetings, hire and evaluate the executive director, prepare for succession and transition, recruit and retain board members, etc.  Just as you bring a high level of skills to your personal life and work, this program enables you to perform at the highest levels in your community service.

Beyond Bootcamp is offered several times a year as a public training.

Presented as a customized, on-site training or offered several times a year as a public workshop, Best Practices explores the basic roles and responsibilities of board members, including legal liability; the board's role in strategic planning, fundraising, financial management, assessing the chief executive, and evaluating organizational performance - all in the context of "best practices" for nonprofit boards.
